Fall Coed Pacific Coast Championship / 1st in JV

Zero breeze to start off the first day turned into some breeze for a long day out on the water. Plenty of pictures, take a look! Santa Barbara delivered a whole range of conditions for the USC Sailing Team this weekend, as they competed in the 2016 Fall Pacific Coast Championships, hosted by UC Santa Barbara. Women Showdown at Stanford

Women PCC’s dealt with on and off light winds and rain. Great effort put in by our Ladies and coming out with a Fifth. Boats provided by Stanford allowed our teams to race one day in the FJ and the other in the Z420.

The Frosh Soph Regatta was a great introduction into college sailing and racing. I was able to get a feel for the college racing format by racing against other sailors new to the division. Mission Bay in San Diego was a terrific venue and provided very manageable, consistent breeze throughout the whole regatta

The Trojans went to San Diego the weekend of October 1-2nd for the PCCSC Match Race Championship regatta. Matt Hecht, Peter Wong, Melissa Schem, and Paul Chyz competed for the Trojans against other prominent PCC teams including Stanford, UCSB, and Hawaii. The USC team secured a hard fought 1st place finish and the chance to compete at the ICSA Match Racing National Championships later in the year

Trojan’s qualify for Coed National’s!!!

Our Pacific Coast Championships and qualifier for National’s took place this weekend, hosted by SDYC and sailed off of the SD city front.  USC finished in 4th and qualified for the National’s taking place May 31-June 3rd. Full scores can be found here

4th at Harbor Cup!!

Trojan’s Win the Jeff Simon Memorial Regatta

USC took three teams down to the Jeff Simon Memorial regatta this weekend hosted by UCSD at Mission Bay Yacht Club.  The Trojan’s started off strong and never looked back winning both A and B divisions, and all three teams finishing in the top 8!! Trojan’s take 3rd place at Rainbow Invitational!!

The team was in Hawaii this past weekend for the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invitational Regatta and finished on the podium in 3rd place!  Congratulation to Hawaii on their win! Successful 32nd Rose Bowl Regatta hosted by USC!!

The USC Trojan’s hosted a great Rose Bowl Regatta to start off 2016! The regatta was won by a very consistent Goergetown team with Charleston and Boston University taking 2nd and 3rd respectively. USC Trojan’s take Third place at the Fall District Champs!

This past weekend UC Santa Barbara hosted the 2015 PCCSC  Fall Pacific Coast Championships.  A 3 division regatta with no wind and no races sailed on Saturday, then a little of everything on Sunday including wind and some rain!] Our Trojans sailed very well to finish on the podium in third place!
