3rd and 5th at Stoney Burke Intersectional

The entire team traveled to the San Francisco Bay to sail the Stoney Burke Intersectional Regatta  in Clipper Cove off of Treasure Island this past weekend. The small group fielded a Women’s and a Coed team in the varsity division as well as one JV team at the regatta. All teams were quite successful with everyone placing in the top 5 in their respective divisions.Â
The Coed team led the way with a 3rd place finish overall. Max Hutcheson and Jack Stern sailed to 3rd place in A-division while Stephen Lue and Erik Samuels sailed to 4th in B-Division for an overall 3rd place finish.
The Women’s team of Kelsey Rupp, Olivia Gebelin, and Carina Prynn sailed to 4th in A-Division while Mallory Schlutter and Maggie Nolting sailed to 5th in B-Division. The ladies of Troy finished 5th overall, well ahead of all other women’s teams in the regatta which speaks to the depth of talent among our sailors.Â
Finally, the JV Team was led by Danny Kivlovitz and Alessandro Sassoon.  Each finished 5th in their respective divisions as well as in the overall regatta.
