USC Participates in Match Race Pacific Coast Championships

Hosted by the California Maritime Academy in Vallejo California, the USC Sailing Team travelled north to sail in the Match Race Pacific Coast Championships (PCCs).
This event was sailed in J22’s and offered competitive sloop sailing within the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference (PCCSC) – college sailing’s version of the “Pac-12.”
Driven by Max Hutcheson ’14 and crewed by John Coakley ’16, Brandon Yuen ’14, and Veda Vuligonda ’16, USC had an excellent showing, finishing 8th overall, however failed to qualify for collegiate sloop nationals.
