USC Places 2nd at South 3, 4th at South 4

February 22-23, 2014: The South 3 and 4 regattas were hosted by UC Irvine and sailed out of Newport Harbor Yacht Club in Newport Beach, CA. There were 20 collegiate teams participating at this event.
USC started off strong at South 3, with Max Hutcheson ’14 winning his 3rd South series A division in a row. The team ended up 2nd overall at South 3, with Cal State Long Beach taking the victory.
Sunday’s South 4 presented more of a challenge for the team, with USC placing 4th overall. Cal State Long Beach won again on Sunday, with two UC Santa Barbara teams placing 2nd and 3rd overall.
